CFUW Yorkton works to ensure that all women and girls have equal opportunities and equal access to quality education within a peaceful and secure environment where their human rights are respected. The club is affiliated with the provincial and national Federation of University Women, and internationally with Graduate Women International.
CFUW Yorkton Inc. was founded in 1954 and since it's founding has actively participated in public affairs through education, advocacy, and action.

CFUW Yorkton is an organization that has contributed to the community in many ways over its 70 years. With its mandate to think globally and act locally, we have worked to bring awareness to many issues by educating its members as well as the public.
From its early years, CFUW became a voice for women, starting Kindergarten in Yorkton, helping establish the Parkland Regional Library, hosting candidate forums for elections , promoting recycling (nationally recognized), and sitting on the Yorkton Environmental Committee.

Did you Know September 14 is "Canadian Federation of University Women's Day" in Saskatchewan and in Yorkton?
In 2013, September 14 was declared "Canadian Federation of University Women's Day" in Saskatchewan by Don Morgan, Q.C., Minister of Advanced Education and June Draude, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women in the Province of Saskatchewan.
In 2015, September 14 was declared "Canadian Federation of University Women's Day" in Yorkton by the Yorkton Council.
